How We Review — Methodology, Test Bench & Scoring Rubric | PyraNexus

Every score can be traced back to a measurement.

This page is the contract between PyraNexus and you: how products get chosen, bought, tested, scored, and re-tested. If a review ever violates it, tell us and we'll fix the review, publicly.

The Equipment Behind the Numbers

When a review quotes a number, one of these produced it. Instruments are calibrated on a schedule and the calibration dates are logged.

Six Criteria, Public Weights

Two editors score independently; scores are averaged and the working notes are archived. You can re-derive any final score from this table and the criteria breakdown printed on the review.

Physical Products Get Extra Scrutiny

Physical products · our main focus
Bought at retail with our own money; receipts archived, samples returned Weighed, drained, cycled and measured; spec sheets are claims until the rig agrees Durability rigs where it matters: zipper cycles, click robots, drop tests, wash protocols Re-tested on hardware revisions and firmware updates, at least twice a year
Software & services
Paid tiers on our own accounts; no vendor-provisioned demos Real workloads for at least two weeks: production traffic, real briefs, real inboxes Blind scoring where output quality is subjective Re-tested on major releases and pricing changes
Independence

Money and Mistakes

PyraNexus is funded by affiliate commissions. That conflict is real, so we engineered it out: scoring finishes and locks before anyone talks to a vendor, and a different person handles partnerships than handles reviews.

The long version, including where the money goes, is on the About page.

Corrections policy

Factual errors get fixed within 48 hours of verification, with a dated note on the page. If a correction changes a score, the changelog explains the old score, the new one, and why.

What we never do

No paid placements, no sponsored scores, no preview copy sent to vendors, no deleting negative reviews after a partnership starts. A vendor ending a partnership changes our revenue, never our verdict.

Spot an error?

Every review lists its author. Write to corrections@pyranexus.com with the page link and what's wrong; we read all of it and answer the ones with receipts first.
