Overview

The Razer Viper V3 Pro is a 68-gram wireless gaming mouse chasing the esports crowd: 8K polling, optical switches, and a shape that splits the difference between a classic ergo and a modern symmetric. What made us order one is the marketing's unusual restraint; the maker publishes its own latency plots and invites people to re-measure them.

So we did. Over 60 days we weighed it, drained it, logged click latency against a photodiode rig, and played roughly 140 hours of shooters on it. Most numbers held. One, the battery figure, did not, and that's the story of this review.

What We Tested

Weight & shape

68 g on our calibrated scale, exactly as claimed, with no rattle at any corner. The shape suits palm and relaxed-claw grips; small hands should try before buying.

Sensor & polling

True 8K polling over the dongle, confirmed with a logic analyzer. Zero spin-outs or angle-snapping artifacts across 140 hours of play.

Battery, measured

Four full drain cycles at 8K polling averaged 61 hours against a claimed 90. At 1K polling we got 118 of the claimed 120. Plan around the smaller number.

Switch endurance

Our click robot put 1.2 million actuations on the main buttons. Actuation force drifted 4%, inside the acceptable band; no double-clicking developed.
